Frisco Simba Avery
February 14, 1995 ~ July 1, 2008
Frisco was a Husky/Chow/Shepherd mix. Frisco came from a family friend at the age of about 3
months old. He was the runt of his litter, although you would have never known
that later on. He was the family dog, although the Avery family never really
considered him a "dog". He was a son, brother, and friend.
Later on,
Misty became his favorite human, along with Mom. She would take him to PetSmart
and the D.O.G. Bakery in Traverse. As he got older, he started to get a little
arthritis and then hip dysplasia, both of which were manageable with medicine.
We lost Frisco to an enlarged heart on July 1, 2008, surrounded by his
family, at the age of 13 1/2 years old. Frisco and Joey's Mission, a rescue for
special needs and senior pets, was partially named for him in his memory.
After losing Frisco, two new lives were saved through adoption. Cash and
Carter then came to join the family. Cash was also a senior/special needs dog
and Carter resembled Frisco in his younger years.
Frisco, we miss you
and love you, Bubby. You are always in our hearts, we will never forget you!
